• best diesel hatchback in the market

   i have been using the figo now for 3yrs (61000kms). This is my third hatch back and first diesel vehicle. the car immediadetly impressed me with its drivability as i do a lot of highway commuting at high speeds daily.The fuel economy has been consistantly above 20kmspl . On a road trip to Goa recently i got 27kmpl!!!. A lot of people warned me abou the ground clearance while booking the figo but i have not had too much trouble except for a few steep speed breakers. that said i have a few complaints as well. first is the lack of more service centres (has been rectified), the head lamp is pathetic , and there is glare from oncoming vehicles at night - i took this up with ford engineers and they said its common complaint but had no solution . there is alot of engine noise again not something everybody likes.The vehicle has aged well and looks good for another 3 yrs but i would love to checkout the new figo when its launched. All in all a great entry level deisel hatch.fuel economy, power,space,airconfeeling dated, maintenance cost

• My New Buddy - Excellent car in this segment

  This is my first Car, bought a Figo Diesel Car on March 2013, and I am done with 3000 Kilometers.  Performance in terms of Pick up, fuel, comfort are extra ordinary. Before 1st service Driven in both highway and city. In city I get around 15 km/l and in highway around 20 km/l. Heard from Service guys that will be good after 1st service :) A/c is excellent,  with in few minutes you will have good chillness in cabin. Not seen this A/c performance in car like swift or i10. Engine response was awesome when driven in highways. Driving the car is city also very nice, good pick up and nice engine response. Few things where I feel improvement are required, with 5 members in the car with 80-100 km speed,  break it not so efficient. Pick up is a bit slow on 2nd gear for few seconds (guess it is due to turbo which take few seconds to get on). Figo Diesel is unmatchable car in this segment with this price. A great value for money ! Go for it !!A/C, Good interiors and exteriors, Boot Space, Pickup, PerformanceEngine noise (guess it is common in diesel engine)

• Exterior The car looked good, and awesome at certain angles.   Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dashboard loots are beyond  good. The plastic quality is good too. Lots of features different from other cars of the class like: * Indicator turns off automatically after you make the turn * Impressive audio with great quality sound. * Boot is openable with a switch on the car key * Bluetooth * Automatic central locking when car crosses 7 km/h speed. * Automatic hazard light operates when brakes are applied quikly from high speeds.  It has lots of space for 5 people. If necessary, you can get a 4th person on the back with only a little discomfort. Leg room is good. Head room is average. Boot space is amazing. Travel comfort is very good too. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performs good. Remember I am having a diesel 1.4L figo. It moves through small inclinations even with the release of clutch alone withuot accelerating. The mileage is extra ordinary (for diesel car). On highway with 4 people along with AC , I got 21.4L mileage(even after stopping and waiting a lot at the traffic signals). This means nothing but more tham 25kmpl when alone, without AC on normal roads.  Gear shifting is smooth but the reverse gear need a little movement, which is good to ensure safety or we may put Reverse on lowering 5th. Ride Quality & Handling Even at high speed, you will not feel you are at such speeds. Hangling is so much easier even at very high speeds, ensuring high stability. It has got a quality driving comfort. You will surely get a quality ride. Final Words I have heard bad comments on this car but it is all about petrol car. It is totally different when it comes to the diesel; besides, who wants a petrol car when petrol price hikes every week? Some of you may hear a squeaking sound on breaking. Donot blame the car, it shows that the brake fluid is about to be changed, thats all. Even being a diesel car, the maintanence cost is less then average. Mark my word, this car is priced very lower than what you get with it. Value for money is guaranteed. My FIGO has travelled 22,000 kilometres by now and I am heavily satisfied. (One thing, if you want accessories get it form anywhere other than the ford dealers because eventhough they do the work with extreme precision, they bill large amounts). Areas of improvement Ground clearence was a problem but after two services, the condition was a lot better. The engine noise is common with all diesel car.So don't bother about it.Performance , mileage, comfort, and lots more.Ground Clearence (only initially), Engine noise(Common for almost all diesel car)
